حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَا ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ
أَنَّهُ لَمَّا بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ «مَا اسْمُكَ؟» قَالَ نشبه قَالَ «أَنْتَ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ»
