حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاسِجٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ قَالَ
أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَصْحَابَهُ بِالْقِتَالِ فَرُمِيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَوْجَبَ هَذَا» وَقَالُوا حِينَ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْقِتَالِ إِذًا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَا نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لِمُوسَى {اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ وَلَكِنَّا نَقُولُ اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا مَعَكُمَا مِنَ الْمُقَاتِلِينَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ ordered his companions to fight, and a man from his companions was struck by an arrow. The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'This one has made it obligatory.' And they said when he ordered them to fight, 'Then, O Messenger of God, we will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses: "Go, you and your Lord, and fight" to the end of the verse, but we say: Go, you and your Lord, and fight; indeed, we are with you, among the fighters.'
