حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ أَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى آبِي اللَّحْمِ قَالَ
«شَهِدْتُ خَيْبَرَ مَعَ سَادَتِي فَأَمَرَنِي نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَقَلَّدْتُ سَيْفًا فَإِذَا أَنَا أَجُرُّهُ وَأُخْبِرَ أَنِّي مَمْلُوكٌ فَأَمَرَ لِي بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ خُرْثِيِّ الْمَتَاعِ»

✧ I witnessed Khaybar with my masters. The Prophet of God ﷺ commanded me to gird on a sword, and there I was dragging it. When he was told that I was a slave, he ordered that I be given something of the odds and ends of the baggage.
