حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُيَيٌّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي لِلنَّاسِ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَتَفَلَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي لِلنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى آخَرَ فَأَشْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ الْأَوَّلُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولُ أَنَزَلَ فيَّ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنَّكَ تَفَلْتَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَأَنْتَ تَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ فَآذَيْتَ اللهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ ordered a man to lead the people in the noon prayer, and he spat toward the qiblah while leading the people. When it was time for the afternoon prayer, he sent for another man. The first man became anxious, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of God, was something revealed about me?" He said, "No, but you spat in front of you while leading the people, and you offended God and His angels."
