حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ قَالَ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَنْكِحُوا النِّسَاءَ بِحَسَبِهِنَّ فَعَسَى حَسَبُهُنَّ أنْ يُؤْذِيَهُنَّ وَلَا تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ لِأَمْوَالِهِنَّ فَعَسَى أَمْوَالُهُنَّ أَنْ يُطْغِيَهُنَّ فَلَأَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ خَرْمَاءُ ذَاتُ دَيْنٍ أَفْضَلُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Do not marry women for their lineage, for perhaps their lineage will harm them, and do not marry them for their wealth, for perhaps their wealth will make them tyrannical. A black slave woman with a pierced ear who has religion is better.'
