حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو يَرْفَعْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَظْهَرُونَ عَلَى الْأَعَاجِمِ فَتَتَّخِذُونَ بُيُوتًا تُدَعَى الْحَمَّامَاتِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُهَا الرَّجُلُ إِلَّا بِإِزَارِ أَوْ قَالَ بِمِئْزَرٍ وَلَا تَدْخُلْهَا النِّسَاءُ إِلَّا نُفَسَاءَ أَوْ مِنْ مَرَضٍ»

✧ From Abdullah b. Amr, raising it to the Prophet ﷺ, he said, 'You will gain victory over the non-Arabs and will take houses called hammams. No man should enter them except with an izar' – or he said 'a waist wrapper' – 'and women should not enter them except after childbirth or due to illness.'
