حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَطَبَهُمْ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ «أَلَا إِنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا أَلَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اشْهَدْ» قَالَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «انْظُرُوا لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed them during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said: “Verily, Allah has made your blood and your wealth sacred to you, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this land of yours, in this month of yours. Have I conveyed?” They said, “Yes.” He said: “O Allah, bear witness.” He said that three times, then said: “Beware, do not revert after me to disbelievers, striking the necks of one another.”
