حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّهْرَتِيرِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ الْغَفَّارِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ وِصَالِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ «إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting for three days. They said, “But you fast continuously.” He said, “I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink.”
