حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْفَوْزِيُّ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا جَدِّي خَطَّابُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْفَوْزِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ افْتَتَحَ التَّكْبِيرَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى جَعَلَهُمَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا كَبَّرَ لِلرُّكُوعِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» فَفَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ فَفَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ»

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ begin the prayer with the takbir and raise his hands until they were level with his shoulders. Then when he said the takbir for bowing, he did the same. Then when he said, “Allah hears the one who praises Him,” he did the same. Then he said, “Our Lord, to You is praise,” and did the same.
