✧ Abu Ma'shar al-Bara' narrated to us: al-Nawwar bt. 'Umar narrated to me, she said: Fatima bt. Muslim narrated to me, she said: Khalifa b. Bishr narrated to me from his father Bishr that when he embraced Islam, the Prophet ﷺ returned to him his wealth and his children. Then the Prophet ﷺ met him and saw him and his son Talq tied together with a rope. He said, "What is this, O Bishr?" He said, "I swore that if Allah returned my wealth and my children to me, I would perform the pilgrimage to the House of Allah tied together." So the Prophet ﷺ took the rope and cut it, and said to them, "Perform the pilgrimage, for this is from Satan."
