حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ زَنَى فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَسَأَلَ قَوْمَهُ «أَمَجْنُونٌ هُوَ؟» قَالُوا لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ قَالَ «فَعَلْتَ بِهَا» قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ أَنْ يُرْجَمَ فَانْطُلِقَ بِهِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ

✧ Maʿiz b. Malik came to the Prophet ﷺ and said that he had committed zina. He turned away from him. Then he asked his people, "Is he insane?" They said, "There is nothing wrong with him." He said, "Did you do it with her?" He said, "Yes." So he ordered that he be stoned. He was taken away, and he did not pray over him.
