حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
اغْتَسَلَ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي جَفْنَةٍ فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِيَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا أَوْ لِيَغْتَسِلَ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَا يَنْجُسُ»

✧ One of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ bathed in a large basin. The Prophet ﷺ came to perform ablution from it, or to bathe. She said to him, "O Messenger of God, I was in a state of major ritual impurity." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Water is not made impure."
