✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to al-Abbas: 'O my uncle, shall I not teach you? Shall I not grant you? Shall I not tell you? Shall I not do for you ten qualities which, if you do them, Allah will forgive your sins: the first of them and the last, the old and the new, the secret and the open, the small and the great, the erroneous and the deliberate. You should pray four rakʿahs, reciting in each rakʿah the Opening of the Book and a surah. When you finish the recitation in the first rakʿah, say while standing: "Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Most Great" fifteen times. Then bow and say it ten times while bowing. Then raise your head and say it ten times while standing. Then prostrate and say it ten times. Then raise your head and say it ten times while sitting. Then prostrate and say it ten times. Then raise your head and say it ten times. That is seventy-five. You do that in four rakʿahs. If your sins were like the foam of the sea or the sand of ʿAlij, Allah would forgive them for you.'
