حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ النَّسَائِيُّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ ؓ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ خَشِيتُ أَنْ يَقْتُلَنِي الْبَرْدُ وَقَدْ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا} فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ Amr b. al-As ؓ led the people in prayer while he was junub. When they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, they mentioned that to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him and asked him about that. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I feared that the cold would kill me, and Allah ﷻ has said: {And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you}." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent about him.
