حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ جُيُوشَهُ قَالَ «اخْرُجُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ تُقَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللهِ لَا تَعْتْدُوا وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا الْوِلْدَانَ وَلَا أَصْحَابَ الصَّوَامِعِ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that when he would dispatch his armies he would say, "Go forth in the name of Allah, fighting in the path of Allah those who disbelieve in Allah. Do not transgress, do not mutilate, do not kill children or those in monasteries."
