حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ خَرَجَ إِلَى بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَمَعَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ تَحْتَهُ قَطِيفَةٌ مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ خَمَّلَهَا اللِّوَاءُ فَسَارَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَمَا وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَا أَنْزِلُ عَنْهَا حَتَّى تُفْتَحَ لَكَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ حَتَّى فُتِحَ لَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out when he went to the Banu Qurayzah on a donkey, and with him was Jibril (Gabriel) ﷺ on a white mule with a saddle made of silk. The flag-bearer led the way and they set off for an hour, then Jibril ﷺ said, "O Muhammad, by the One Who sent you with the truth, I will not dismount from it until it is opened for you." Ibn Abbas said, "So he did not go back until it was opened for him."
