حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَكُونُ فِي قَوْمٍ يَعْمَلُ بِمَعَاصِي اللهِ فِيهِمْ وَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُمْ وَأَعَزُّ ثُمَّ يَدَّهِنُوا فِي شَأْنِهِ إِلَّا عَاقَبَهُمُ اللهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "There is no man who is among a people who disobey God while they are more numerous and stronger than him, then they flatter regarding his affair, except that God punishes them."
