حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ خَالَوَيْهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ قِيلَ لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَدَدَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَفَرِحُوا بِهَا وَلَوْ قِيلَ لِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ عَدَدَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَحَزِنُوا وَلَكِنْ جُعِلَ لَهُمُ الْأَبَدُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If it were said to the people of the Fire, 'You will remain in the Fire for the number of every pebble in the world,' they would rejoice. And if it were said to the people of Paradise, 'You will remain in Paradise for the number of every pebble in the world,' they would grieve. But eternity has been decreed for them.
