حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ خَالَوَيْهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ بَيْنَهُمَا غُلَامٌ فَأَعْتَقَهُ أَحَدُهُمَا فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَضَمَّنَهُ إِيَّاهُ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ غُنَيْمَةٌ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ مِائَةِ شَاةٍ فَبَاعَهَا فَأَعْطَاهُ صَاحِبَهُ»

✧ "There were two men from Juhaynah who jointly owned a slave, and one of them freed him. He came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he made him liable for it. He had a small flock of nearly one hundred sheep, so he sold them and paid his companion."
