حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبُرَيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ» فَدَخَلَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ فَسَلَّمَ وَصَعِدَ

Translation

✧ We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he said, "A man from the people of Paradise will appear before you." Then Ali b. Abi Talib ؓ entered, greeted, and ascended.
