حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ»

✧ When Ibrāhīm, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died, the sun was eclipsed. The people said, “It was eclipsed because of the death of Ibrāhīm, the son of the Messenger of Allah, may the blessings of Allah be upon them both.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of anyone’s death or life. When you see that, pray until it clears.”
