حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَنْدَهْ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ قَطَنٍ الْبُخَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ:

رَأَيْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَتِ، مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ ؟ فَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ حَبِيبِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ، وَقَالَ: مَنْ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ غُفِرَتْ لَهُ ذُنُوبُهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ

Translation

✧ I saw Ammar b. Yasir pray six rak'ahs after Maghrib. I said: O father, what is this prayer? He said: I saw my beloved, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, pray six rak'ahs after Maghrib and say: Whoever prays six rak'ahs after Maghrib, his sins are forgiven, even if they were like the foam of the sea.
