حَدَّثَنَا كُوشَاذُ بْنُ شَهْمَرْدَانَ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

أَنَا أَوَّلُ النَّاسِ عِلْمٌ بِآيَةِ الْحِجَابِ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا تَدْخُلْ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ، فَمَا مَرَّ عَلَيَّ يَوْمٌ كَانَ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ

✧ I am the first of people to know the verse of hijab. When it was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'Do not enter upon women.' No day passed that was more difficult for me than that.
