حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ مُطَاعِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ مُطَاعِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مَسْعُودِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ أَرَاشِ بْنِ جَدِيلَةَ بْنِ لَخْمٍ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ بِدِمَشْقَ سَنَةَ 278 ثَمَانٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُطَاعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُطَاعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مَسْعُودٍ:

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمَّاهُ مُطَاعًا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: يَا مُطَاعُ، امْضِ إِلَى أَصْحَابِكَ، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَتِي هَذِهِ فَقَدْ أَمِنَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ
