حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَقِيٍّ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ جَابِرٍ الطَّائِيُّ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْغَاضِرِيَّ ؓ حَدَّثَهُمْ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ فَعَلَهُنَّ فَقَدْ ذَاقَ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ: مَنْ عَبَدَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَحْدَهُ بِأَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، وَأَعْطَى زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ طَيِّبَةً بِهَا نَفْسُهُ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِ الْهَرِمَةَ وَلَا الدَّرِنَةَ وَلَا الْمَرِيضَةَ وَلَكِنْ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ أَمْوَالِكُمْ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَسْأَلْكُمْ خَيْرَهَا وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْكُمْ بَشَّرِهَا، وَزَكَّى نَفْسَهُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: وَمَا تَزْكِيَةُ النَّفْسِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَنْ يَعْلَمَ أَنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَعَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ

✧ Three things: whoever does them has tasted the flavor of faith: whoever worships Allah (Mighty and Majestic) alone, that there is no god but He; and gives the zakah of his wealth willingly each year, and does not give the old, the mangy, or the sick, but from the middle of your wealth—for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) does not ask you for its best and does not command you to give its worst—and purifies his soul. A man said: 'What is purification of the soul?' He said: 'To know that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is with him wherever he is.'
