حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْمَنْبِجِيُّ بِمَنْبِجَ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَّافُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ مَوْلَى آلِ سُرَاقَةَ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ قَالَ:

رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ؓ تَوَضَّأَ فَتَمَضْمَضَ ثَلَاثًا، وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَاحِدَةً، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ

✧ I saw 'Uthman b. 'Affan ؓ perform wudu': he rinsed his mouth three times, sniffed water into his nose three times, washed his face three times, washed his hands three times each, wiped his head once, and washed his feet three times. Then he said: 'Thus I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing wudu.'
