حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَاكِرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رُقَيْشٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ خَالَهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ بْنِ جَحْشٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ:

حَفِظْتُ لَكُمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سِتًّا: لَا طَلَاقَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ نِكَاحٍ، وَلَا عَتَاقَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مِلْكٍ، وَلَا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ، وَلَا يُتْمَ بَعْدَ احْتِلَامٍ، وَلَا صُمَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ، وَلَا وِصَالَ فِي الصِّيَامِ

✧ I memorized for you six things from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: There is no divorce except after marriage, no manumission except after ownership, no fulfillment of a vow in disobedience, no orphanhood after reaching puberty, no silence for a day until night, and no continuous fasting (wisal) in fasting.
