حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ بِمَكَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي خَبَّابٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ، قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَأَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ لِلْمُسَافِرِ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ غَائِطٍ، وَلَا بَوْلٍ، وَلَا نَوْمٍ، وَيَوْمًا لِلْمُقِيمِ

✧ I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Should I wipe over the leather socks, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes, three days for the traveler, and they are not removed due to defecation, urination, or sleep, and one day for the resident.
