حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ الْمَدِينِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، سَنَةَ 290 تِسْعِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَمِيرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:

شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يُنَاشِدُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ غَدِيرِ خُمٍّ يَقُولُ مَا قَالَ فَلْيَشْهَدْ، فَقَامَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ: أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ، وَأَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، فَشَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمْ سَمِعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ [ اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ ] كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ، وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

✧ I witnessed ʿAlī ؓ on the pulpit adjuring the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'Whoever heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the day of Ghadīr Khumm what he said, let him testify.' Twelve men among them stood up—Abū Hurayrah, Abū Saʿīd, and Anas b. Mālik—and testified that they heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever [O Allah, whoever] I am his mawlā, ʿAlī is his mawlā. O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him and be hostile to whoever is hostile to him.'
