حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَنْبَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْمَرْئِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ:
هَاجَرَ أَبِي صَفْوَانُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَبَايَعَهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، فَمَدَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَدَهُ، فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ صَفْوَانُ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ

✧ My father Safwan migrated to the Prophet ﷺ and pledged allegiance to him upon Islam. The Prophet ﷺ extended his hand and wiped over it. Safwan said, 'I love you, O Messenger of God.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'A person is with the one he loves.'
