✧ Hudhayfa b. al-Yaman and 'Uqba b. 'Amr, Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari, met. One of them said to his companion: 'Narrate to me what you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ.' One of them narrated and the other confirmed him. One of them said: 'A servant will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and made to stand before God – Mighty and Majestic – and He will say: "What do you have to your credit?" He will say: "I used to engage in transactions with people. When I dealt with someone in difficulty, I let him off; and when I dealt with someone well-off, I gave him respite." God will say: "I am more entitled than My servant to be lenient," and He will forgive him.' The other said: 'You have spoken the truth. Thus I heard it from the Messenger of God.'
