حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ:

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَ أُمَّ مُبَشِّرٍ بِنْتَ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي شَرَطْتُ لِزَوْجِي أَنْ لَا أَتَزَوَّجَ بَعْدَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ: إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَصْلُحُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ proposed to Umm Mubashshir bt. al-Barāʾ b. Maʿrūr, and she said: "I made a condition with my husband that I would not marry after him." The Prophet ﷺ said: "This is not proper."
