حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، نَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ، قَالَ:
قَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ لِمَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا تَبْكُوا عَلَى الدِّينِ إِذَا وَلَّيْتُمُوهُ أَهْلَهُ، وَلَكِنِ ابْكُوا عَلَيْهِ إِذَا وَلَّيْتُمُوهُ غَيْرَ أَهْلِهِ
