حَدَّثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصُّورِيُّ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ النَّصِيبِينِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الزَّجَّاجُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:
عُرِضْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً، فَرَدَّنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ عُرِضْتُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ فَرَدَّنِي، ثُمَّ عُرِضْتُ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ فَأُجِزْتُ

✧ I was presented to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Badr when I was thirteen years old, and the Messenger of God ﷺ rejected me. Then I was presented to him on the day of Uhud when I was fourteen, and he rejected me. Then I was presented on the day of the Confederates when I was fifteen, and I was allowed.
