حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ. عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

فَضَّلَ اللهُ قُرَيْشًا بِسَبْعِ خِصَالٍ: فَضَّلَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ عَبَدُوا اللهَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، لَا يَعْبُدُهُ إِلَّا قُرَشِيٌّ، وَفَضَّلَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُ نَصَرَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْفِيلِ وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ، وَفَضَّلَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُ نَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ سُورَةٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ فِيهِمْ غَيْرُهُمْ لإِيلافِ قُرَيْشٍ وَفَضَّلَهُمْ بِأَنَّ فِيهِمُ النُّبُوَّةَ، وَالْخِلَافَةَ، وَالْحِجَابَةَ، وَالسِّقَايَةَ

Translation

✧ Allah favored Quraysh with seven qualities: He favored them because they worshipped Allah for ten years when no one worshipped Him except a Qurayshi; He favored them because He gave them victory on the Day of the Elephant while they were polytheists; He favored them because a surah of the Quran was revealed concerning them, in which no one else was included: "For the familiarity of Quraysh"; He favored them because among them are prophethood, the caliphate, the hijabah, and the siqayah.
