✧ A group of eight men from ʿUkl came to Madinah and embraced Islam, but they found the climate unhealthy. They went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and complained to him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: "Go out to the camels and drink from their milk and urine." They went and stayed among them as long as Allah willed, then they killed the herdsman and drove away the camels. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent someone to pursue them, and they were brought to him. He cut off their hands and feet and branded their eyes.

machine translationAyyūb narrates it from Abū Qilābah from Anas, and there is disagreement about it from him. Ḥammād b. Zayd narrated it from Ayyūb from Abū Rajāʾ, the freed slave of Abū Qilābah, from Abū Qilābah from Anas. Both are correct.
