✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for me and ordered me to take my clothes and my weapon. I came to him while he was performing ablution. He looked up at me, then lowered his gaze and said: "O ʿAmr, I intend to send you on a military expedition, may Allah grant you victory and keep you safe, and I will give you a good portion of wealth." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I did not become Muslim out of desire for wealth; rather, I became Muslim out of desire for Islam and to be with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "Excellent! And how excellent is good wealth for a righteous person."
