حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الْمُضَمَّرَةِ، فَكَانَتْ تُرْسَلُ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ، وَكَانَ أَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ، وَسَابَقَ الْخَيْلَ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضَمَّرْ، وَكَانَتْ تُرْسَلُ، وَكَانَ أَمَدُهَا مَسْجِدَ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held a race between lean, trained horses, and they were sent from al-Hafya', and the course ended at Thaniyyat al-Wada'. He also held a race for untrained horses, and they were sent, and the course ended at the mosque of Banu Zurayq.
