حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا أَسَدٌ: ثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٌ الرَّاسِبِيُّ: نَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، زِدْنَا، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، وَحَثَا بِهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، زِدْنَا، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، زِدْنَا، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَدُكَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: مَا لَنَا ذَلِكَ يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؟ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّ اللهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُدْخِلَ النَّاسَ الْجَنَّةَ بِحَفْنَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ: " صَدَقَ عُمَرُ

Translation

✧ My Lord promised me that He would admit into Paradise one hundred thousand of my community. Abu Bakr said: 'O Prophet of Allah, increase us.' He gestured with his hand like this and scooped with it. Then he said: 'O Prophet of Allah, increase us.' He gestured with his hand like this. Then he said: 'O Prophet of Allah, increase us.' He gestured with his hand like this. Umar said: 'Enough for you, O Abu Bakr.' Abu Bakr said: 'What is it to you, O Ibn al-Khattab?' Umar said: 'Allah is able to admit all people into Paradise with a single handful.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Umar has spoken the truth.'
