Translation

✧ Umar b. Abd al-Aziz led us in the noon prayer, then we went to Anas b. Malik to visit him. When I entered upon him, he said: “You have prayed?” We said: “Yes.” He said: “O girl, bring me water for ablution. I have not prayed behind any imam after the Messenger of God ﷺ whose prayer was more like that of the Messenger of God ﷺ than this imam of yours.”
