✧ Indeed, in the mosque there is a spot before this pillar that if people knew of it, they would not pray in it except that a lot would be drawn for them. She had a group of his companions and the sons of the emigrants with her, and they said: O Mother of the Believers, where is it? She refused to tell them, so they stayed with her for a while, then left, but 'Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr remained. They said: She will tell him about that place, so they watched him in the mosque to see where he would pray. He came out after a while and prayed at the pillar that his son 'Amir b. 'Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr prayed toward, and it was called the Pillar of the Lot. 'Atiq said: It is the pillar that is in the middle between the grave and the pulpit; to its right toward the pulpit are two pillars, and between it and the pulpit are two pillars, and between it and the courtyard are two pillars, and it is in the middle of that, and it is called the Pillar of the Lot.
