حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ:
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ ثَلَاثِ سَاعَاتٍ نُصَلِّي فِيهِنَّ، أَوْ نَقْبُرُ فِيهَا مَوْتَانَا: حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بَازِغَةً حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ، وَحِينَ يَقُومُ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ، وَحِينَ تَضَيَّفُ لِغُرُوبِهَا " قُلْتُ لِعُقْبَةَ: أَيُدْفَنُ بِاللَّيْلِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، دُفِنَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِاللَّيْلِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prohibited three hours in which we pray or bury our dead: when the sun rises shining until it ascends, when the midday heat stands still, and when it declines for its setting. I said to ʿUqba: Is burial done at night? He said: Yes; Abū Bakr was buried at night.
