حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، نَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ:

لَمَّا حَضَرَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَفَاةُ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْصِنَا. قَالَ: أُوصِيكُمْ بِالسَّابِقِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ، وَأَبْنَائِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ، إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوا لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْكُمْ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his deathbed, they said: O Messenger of Allah, advise us. He said: I enjoin you to [be good to] the first of the Muhajirun, and their descendants after them. If you do not do so, neither an obligatory nor a voluntary deed will be accepted from you.
