حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ، نَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
لَا تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ، وَإِذْنُهَا الصُّمُوتُ، وَالثَّيِّبُ تُصِيبُ مِنْ أَمْرِهَا مَا لَمْ تَدْعُ إِلَى سُخْطَةٍ، فَإِذَا دَعَتْ إِلَى سُخْطَةٍ، وَكَانَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهَا يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الرِّضَا، رُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى السُّلْطَانِ

✧ A virgin is not married until she is asked for permission, and her permission is her silence. A previously married woman has more right to her affair as long as she does not call for displeasure. If she calls for displeasure and her guardians call for what pleases Allah, the matter is raised to the ruler.
