✧ While I was in Egypt, the doorkeeper came and said: A bedouin on a camel is at the door seeking permission. I said: Who are you? He said: Jabir b. Abdullah al-Ansari. I looked over at him and said: Should I come down to you or will you come up? He said: I will not come down and I will not come up. A hadith has reached me that you narrate from the Prophet ﷺ about covering the faults of a believer. I have come to hear it. I said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: Whoever covers the faults of a believer, it is as if he has revived a buried infant girl. Then he struck his camel and returned.
