حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، نَا أَبِي، نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، نَا أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ رَاشِدٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

قَالَتْ يَهُودُ: إِذَا غَشِيَ امْرَأَتَهُ مُجَبِّيَةً جَاءَ وَلَدُهُ أَحْوَلَ، فَنَزَلَتْ: نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ إِنْ شَاءَ مُجَبِّيَةً، وَإِنْ شَاءَ غَيْرَ مُجَيِّيَةٍ، غَيْرَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ فِي صِمَامٍ وَاحِدٍ "

✧ The Jews said, 'If a man has intercourse with his wife from behind, his child will be born cross-eyed.' Then the verse was revealed: 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so come to your tilth as you wish'—whether from behind or otherwise, as long as it is in the same orifice.
