حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْوَزِيرِ السَّعْدِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَنَابٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ الْعَدَوِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ قَالَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي عَلَا فَقَهَرَ، وَبَطَنَ فَخَبَرَ، وَمَلَكَ فَقَدَرَ، الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، خَرَجَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ

✧ Whoever says when he retires to his bed: “Praise be to Allah who is exalted and thus prevailed, who is hidden and thus knows, and who owns and thus has power. Praise be to Allah who gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent,” will come out of his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him.
