حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، نَا زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ، نَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَبُو عَتَّابٍ الدَّلَّالُ، نَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْبَجَلِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا إِلَّا فُتِحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ، وَسَبَّحَتْ أَعْضَاؤُهُ، وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا، إِلَى أَنْ تُوَارَى بِالْحِجَابِ، فَإِنْ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً أَوْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تَطَوُّعًا أَضَاءَتْ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ نُورًا، وَقُلْنَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ: اللَّهُمَّ اقْبِضْهُ إِلَيْنَا، فَقَدِ اشْتَقْنَا إِلَى رُؤْيَتِهِ، وَإِنْ هُوَ هَلَّلَ أَوْ سَبَّحَ أَوْ كَبَّرَ، تَلَقَّاهُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ، يَكْتُبُونَهَا إِلَى أَنْ تُوَارَى بِالْحِجَابِ

Translation

✧ There is no servant who begins the day fasting except that the gates of heaven are opened for him, his limbs glorify God, and the inhabitants of the lowest heaven seek forgiveness for him until he is veiled. If he prays one or two voluntary rakʿas, the heavens shine with light for him, and his wives from the ḥūr al-ʿīn say, “O God, take his soul to us, for we long to see him.” And if he says ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh,’ or glorifies God, or magnifies Him, seventy thousand angels receive it and write it down until he is veiled.
