حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْفَيْضُ بْنُ وَثِيقٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَنْبَسَةُ الْأَعْوَرُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ. عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، وَسَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ لَهُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ، فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ، وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

Translation

✧ A man set free six slaves of his at the time of death, and he had no property other than them. The Prophet ﷺ cast lots among them, freed two, and kept four in bondage.
