حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، نَا الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ:
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي أَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ، فَلَعَلِّي لَا أَجِدُ قَائِدًا وَيَشُقُّ عَلَيَّ، أَفَأَتَّخِذُ مَسْجِدًا فِي دَارِي ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " أَيَبْلُغُكَ النِّدَاءُ ؟ " قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا سَمِعْتَ النِّدَاءَ فَأَجِبْ.

✧ A blind man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'I hear the call to prayer, but perhaps I cannot find a guide and it is hard for me; shall I set up a mosque in my house?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Does the call reach you?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then answer it when you hear the call.'
